Shaheen Calls for Barr to Release Full Special Counsel Report to the American Public

**Shaheen is the Lead Democrat of the Commerce, Justice, Science & Related Agencies Appropriations Subcommittee Which Oversees the Department of Justice**

(Washington, DC) – U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) issued the following statement in response to Attorney General William Barr’s summary to Congress on Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report, calling for Attorney General Barr to release the full report to the American people:

"After a nearly two-year investigation, a four-page summary on Russia’s assault on our electoral system is woefully insufficient,” said Shaheen. “We know Russia interfered in our election and that Special Counsel Mueller has brought nearly 200 charges against 34 individuals and 3 companies, including 6 former Trump officials and 26 Russian nationals. This report could have serious implications for our national security – there is no excuse for not disclosing all the facts and keeping its details secret. I look forward to questioning Attorney General Barr on the report when he comes before the Senate, and will continue to urge him to make the full report available to the American public so they can reach their own conclusions. ”

Attorney General Barr is expected to testify soon before the Commerce, Justice, Science (CJS) and Related Agencies Appropriations Subcommittee.
