Carroll County projects to receive federal funding

WASHINGTON – Several health-related projects in Carroll County are slated to receive federal finding in the final government funding bills for fiscal year 2024. Among them are improvements at the Mt. Washington Valley Adult Day Center, Starting Point, the former Carroll County Nursing Home and White Mountains Community College.

U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH), a senior member of the U.S. Senate Appropriations Committee, recently announced more than $100 million has been secured for 101 New Hampshire projects.

The federal investments, appropriated through the Congressionally Directed Spending process, will go towards a range of Granite State priorities throughout the state, including water and transportation infrastructure, health care facility investments, educational training, resources to combat homelessness, support for substance use disorder programs, tools to build safe and prosperous communities and much more.
