Senator Shaheen Calls for Swift Action in Senate to Extend Unemployment Benefits, October 15, 2009

On the floor of the Senate, Senator Shaheen called for an end to the partisan political games that have prevented the Senate from acting quickly to extend unemployment benefits. With Wall Street prepared to give out big bonuses, Shaheen called refusing to come to the aid of unemployed Americans unacceptable.
