Senator Shaheen Floor Statement on Extending Unemployment Benefits, October 27, 2009

Senator Shaheen spoke in support of the Unemployment Compensation Extension Act and urged her colleagues to stop stall tactics and help those hardest hit by the recession. The job market is the worst since the Great Depression, with one job opening for every six unemployed workers.
