SHAHEEN CALLS FOR EXTENSION OF CRITICAL SMALL BUSINESS PROGRAMS

Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) took to the Senate floor today to fight for extensions to a pair of critical small business programs as part of the Jumpstart Our Business Startups (JOBS) Act, which is currently under debate in the Senate. Shaheen called for reauthorizations to both the Export-Import Bank, which helps small businesses sell their products overseas, and the Small Business Administration's 504 refinancing program, which helps small firms refinance their real estate loans. Both programs are funded at no cost to taxpayers.
