Shaheen Celebrates Grand Opening of New Littleton Community Based Outpatient Clinic

(Littleton, NH) – This afternoon, U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) joined Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) officials as well as clinic staff to celebrate the grand opening of the new Littleton Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) facility. The new Littleton CBOC is twice the size of the previous facility and will help bring health care services to North Country veterans closer to where they live.

“This is a great day for veterans here in Littleton and all across the North Country,” said Shaheen. “The men and women of our armed forces never fail our nation on the battlefield, and we must not fail them when they return home and enter civilian life. We have a duty to provide our veterans with the quality health care that they have earned and deserve and the opening of the new Littleton Community Based Outpatient Clinic is an important step toward fulfilling that duty for North Country veterans.”

In addition to primary-care and mental health services, the Littleton CBOC will offer audiology, home-based primary care, on-site social work and physical therapy. Currently, the Littleton CBOC has 2,218 veterans enrolled. Senator Shaheen has made expanding access to health care for New Hampshire veterans one of her top priorities in the Senate. Last year, she worked to reform the VA to improve care for veterans and allow veterans in New Hampshire to access care closer to home.
