(Washington, DC) – U.S. Senators Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) and Maggie Hassan (D-NH) today released the following statement applauding Samantha Elliott’s nomination to the U.S. District Court for the District of New Hampshire. Elliott currently serves as Vice President of the Concord-based firm, Gallagher, Callahan & Gartrell, P.C.

“Samantha Elliott is eminently qualified to serve as a judge on the U.S. District Court for the District of New Hampshire. She brings extensive experience representing Granite Staters, and she is poised to take on the distinct honor of serving on the federal bench. Her impeccable credentials – paired with her demonstrated commitment to justice and support for the New Hampshire legal assistance community – make her an excellent candidate to fill this distinguished position on the U.S. District Court for New Hampshire. We urge the Senate to confirm her swiftly,” said the Senators.

Elliott previously served as President of Gallagher, Callahan & Gartrell, P.C. from 2015-2020. She has represented both plaintiffs and defendants at every level of New Hampshire state court, the U.S. District Court for the District of New Hampshire and the First Circuit Court of Appeals. She also has experience in front of the New Hampshire Human Rights Commission and New Hampshire Bureau of Tax and Land Appeals. Through her work at GC&G, she was selected for inclusion in the Best Lawyers in America and New England Super Lawyers.
