SHAHEEN HELPS CELEBRATE HISTORY WITH NEW HAMPSHIRE’S ALL-FEMALE DELEGATIONDecember 07, 2012
U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) helped celebrate the nation’s first all-female delegation at a historic breakfast forum hosted by the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce. Shaheen was joined by Senator Kelly Ayotte, Governor-Elect Maggie Hassan and Representatives-Elect Carol Shea Porter and Ann McLane Kuster. The delegation spoke about the growing number of women in politics and the historic importance of New Hampshire becoming the first state in United States history to have an all-female delegation.
Senator Shaheen met with volunteers and answered phone lines at the WZID Christmas is for Kids Radiothon at the Mall of New Hampshire. Now in its 14th year, the Radiothon raises money for holiday gifts for New Hampshire children and helps support Child and Family Services, New Hampshire’s oldest children’s charitable organization.
