Shaheen Statement on Passing of Keene Community Leader Christine Weeks

(Washington, DC) – U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) issued the following statement in response to the passing of Keene community leader Christine (Chris) Weeks:

“I’m deeply saddened by the loss of Chris Weeks, and I join with our Keene community members in mourning her passing,” said Shaheen. “I was fortunate to know Chris and her husband Kip, and always admired her commitment and service to the Granite State. From her more than two decades of work in Keene Public Schools, to her leadership on a number of local organizations that invested in education, the arts and more, Chris was a devoted community member, neighbor and friend. I offer my sincere condolences to Chris’ family and friends – she will be dearly missed.”
