SHAHEEN STATEMENT ON THE PASSING OF REP. JIM POWERS

(Washington, DC) – U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) today released the following statement on the passing of state Rep. Jim Powers of Portsmouth:

“Rep. Jim Powers has been a longtime friend to me and to New Hampshire.  Jim has always worked tirelessly on behalf of Portsmouth and he has served his community and constituents with dedication and honor. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Powers family at this difficult time.”
