Shaheen Statement on the Terrorist Attack in Manchester, England

(Washington, DC) – U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH), a member of the Senate Foreign Relations and Armed Services Committees, released the following statement on the terrorist attack in Manchester, England:

“I condemn in the strongest terms the terrorist attack in Manchester last night. My thoughts are with the victims, their families, and the city of Manchester today, as well as the first responders and good Samaritans who helped people to safety and treatment. This heinous attack on a concert hall filled with young people shows a cruel disregard for human life. The United States stands in solidarity with the United Kingdom in the face of terrorism, and we continue our unwavering resolve, along with our European allies, to stop those who use terror as a method to sow fear and hatred.”
