BERLIN PRISON FUNDING INCLUDED IN 2012 FUNDING BILL

(Washington, DC) - The long-dormant federal prison in Berlin would finally open under a funding plan approved by a key Senate panel today. U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH), who has fought for funding of the prison, applauded the legislation, which was approved by a bipartisan 15-1 vote.
